History
In 1969 Berdick Manufacturing Ltd. located in Calgary, Alberta set up another plant in Winkler, Manitoba. Berdick became a flourishing company manufacturing aluminum windows and doors for travel trailer and mobile home plants.
In the late 1970’s the business began to suffer because of the increase in fuel prices therefore decreasing the demand for travel trailers. Berdick then made a wise decision in moving into the residential window and door market. Berdick currently manufactures high quality PVC and fiberglass windows and entrance doors for residential, multi-family and renovation projects.
On September 1st, 2009 due to the retirement of Berdick’s owner the company was sold to Grandeur Housing Ltd., also located in Winkler.
Grandeur Housing is a growing company and is a custom builder of high quality manufactured and modular homes, commercial, and industrial buildings. Adding new products while maintaining a commitment to quality has continuously created new markets for Grandeur and expanding the company’s horizons greatly.
